About the art
Jazz Aline is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist from Treaty 1.
She creates and explores what it means to be re-imagined into the land. Inspired by folk arts and surrealism she weaves together stories through observation and her own experiences to create colourful pieces that speak to people who themselves can relate.

‘‘I often imagine myself on the great endless, frozen plains of Lake Winnipeg, the wind howling-everything blanketed in white. That's my canvas. A place of emotional violence, beauty and solace. A place where I re-imagine us in the land, that’s what my art is all about."

About the artist
I am the artist behind Jazz Aline Art. I am originally from Treaty 1 territory in Manitoba, Canada. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil and am so happy that I can now share art with you all. I absolutely love storytelling, and putting stories into visual, tangible art is something I've used for a long time to communicate my experiences and emotions. Now with a more established art style and theme, I find my creations are a reflection of what growing up in the Canadian prairies was like for me, my family, and the communities of Manitoba.
